Oatmeal Streusel Rolls

This is my first post on my cooking blog so I thought I had better make it a yummy one!!

The Bread Recipe

2 cups of warm H20 (115 degrees)

2 TBS of yeast

3/4 cup of sugar

6 – 7 cups of bread flour

6 packets of cinnamon spice instant oatmeal

1 tsp. of salt

2 cubes of butter

2 eggs

add all of the ingredients in your mixing bowl in the above order and mix for 2 minutes add enough flour that your dough just begins to clean the sides of the mixing bowl.  Let rise until it doubles, punch it down and knead it a few times adding flour if needed.

 

Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread lightly with butter and brown sugar/ cinnamon.

In a Mixing bowl mix

1 cube of butter

1/2 cup of flour

1/2 cup of instant oatmeal

1 cup of brown sugar

1 tbs of cinnamon

until if forms course crumbs.

Sprinkle over dough and then if you so desire sprinkle with a little bit more cinnamon and sugar especially around the edges.

Then roll it all up.

Cut into rolls about 3/4 of an inch thick.  Let rise for about 30 minutes.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 28-30 minutes.  Check after 25 minutes AND MAKE SURE YOU BAKE THESE BELOW THE MIDDLE OF THE OVEN.
